From the beautiful Nilgiri hill-station of Ootacamund, or Ooty as it is popularly known, we travel to Poopalli in Kerala, on this 47th day of our journey across India. We traveled from the state of Tamil Nadu on mountain roads into Kerala. Chennamkari Island was our destination, which we reached by parking our car on the mainland, and riding the 150-year-old family boat of our host, Thomas.

En route, we stopped by at the southern railway yard to see the old steam engines, we then drove through Coimbatore, Pallakad and bypassed Kochi and Alleppey, to reach our destination.
