Situated on the banks of river Vishwamitri, is one of India’s most cosmopolitan cities, Vadodra. Because of its strategic geographical location, the liberalism of its ancestors, extensive industrialization, and the explosion of academic activities, Baroda has embraced people from all over India and the world. Baroda has also inherited a rich legacy. The city once had its own Navy and had running Trams as early as 1890. It also had one of the earliest well-planned drainage lines in India.

Vadodara is known for Cricket and more than 15 well-known Indian Cricketers have played their childhood matches at Moti Baug, one of the oldest cricket grounds of Asia. The city is also very famous for its enthusiasm Navratri and Garba celebrations.
