Day 41: Maheshwar to Ellora

In stifling temperatures over 40 degree centigrade, we took a day long drive from Maheshwar to Ellora.

We drove through the south of Madhya Pradesh, and into the state of Maharashtra. We drove past the major town of Beed and could sense what development has done for rural Maharashtra.

We visited the tomb of Aurangzeb in the evening and also attended a sufi ritual at the shrine of the peer in khuldabad.

Tired, we turned in early for the night, when we reached the hotel in Ellora.
